Southern Maryland Divers understands a busy schedule. That is why we offer the PADI Open Water certification course in a fast track two day course. How can we do this you ask? It's easy! Keep in mind, this price includes EVERYTHING! Quarry entry fees, *complete gear rental, air fills, even camping for one night at the quarry! No surprise fees or other costs. We have a very flexible schedule, so we can usually accommodate just about any dates for training, including week days with enough advance notice.
The only way we can achieve this training in two days is by utilizing the PADI E-Learning option, and limiting our class size to no more than (4) divers. Once you have registered for one of our courses, you will be issued a E-learning code via email. At your leisure but BEFORE your hands on training, you will complete ALL of the academic work via online, multimedia rich content. You even take the test online! No stress here. Once you complete the course, you will print out your passing certificate and bring it with you to the check out dives. It is paramount that you have completed the course, and bring your completion form with you.
Over two, long, and very busy days at the quarry, we will complete all of the required skills and knowledge content needed to certify you as an Open Water Diver. If you like intense, fun filled training, this is the way to do it! No idle time, all the skills, and a ton of fun is what you should expect when taking the fast track course.
Starting bright and early, as soon as the gates open at the quarry, we will check in and setup camp. Soon after, we will review paperwork, take the short 25 question quick exam and review our answers. We then spend the majority of the rest of the day working on confined water (pool) skills in the area of the quarry that qualifies as confined water. Once we master the pool skills, we head out on Open Water dive 1 before we settle for the evening. This will be the longest day of the two.
Starting bright and early, we begin with a briefing and some topside skills. We then head to the water and complete Open Water dive two. After a short break, we will complete Open Waterdive three. We will break for lunch and then complete Open Water Dive four and finish the day with final log book checks, and graduation pictures.
*Please be aware that this fast track method is not for everyone. To accomplish this much training in two days, it requires long hours (usually 10-12 hours per day) and very focused students. If for some reason, we run across a problem that cannot be resolved in a reasonable time frame, that student will have to complete the course at another time so we don't hold up the rest of the class. We restrict the fast track Open Water Course to (4) students, to ensure they get the quality instruction that Southern Maryland Divers guarantees.
